Mark 11:17-19

¹⁷ Then he began to teach them: “It is written, is it not, ‘My house is to be called a house of prayer for all nations’?^[a] But you’ve turned it into a hideout^[b] for bandits!” ¹⁸ When the high priests and elders heard this, they began to look for a way to kill him, because they were afraid of him, since the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching. ¹⁹ When evening came, Jesus and his disciples^[c] would leave the city.
